Description
Bach Stradivarius 42BO
Developed by Vincent Bach back in the 1952, the Bach Model 42 has been one of the most widely used, and openly embraced professional level trombones in the world for many decades. The instrument has been found in the hands of professional musicians performing on the biggest stages, and in the most prestigious stages in in the last almost 70 years. While there have been variations of the instrument, what you see here is their highest selling variation, the standard rotary valve, and open wrap design, referred to as the 42BO. (B indicates that it has a valve, and O indicates that it is an open wrap). The instrument features a one-piece yellow brass bell, and a (.547”) bore yellow brass standard weight handslide. This was made in Elkhart, Indiana, USA. The MSRP on this instrument is $5035.00. - This instrument was purchased about a year ago, and only used for about 4 months by a single owner. The horn has been professionally serviced. The instrument is mechanically sound, and the handslide feels exceptional. There are no dents, and only a few very light superficial scratches in a few spots. The case is absolutely gorgeous, and was inspired by the old vintage cases originally produced in the 1940’s, and still has the ‘new case’ smell. This won’t last long!
