Buescher tru-tone Curved Soprano Saxophone ~ #85XXX ~ Circa 1921 ~ Nice condition! ~ Recently repaded
Tru-tone Circa 1921
For overall playability and tone, this is one of the best curved sopranos ever made. The late True Tone curvy’s are coveted for their unique combination of a big, warm, rich tone and accurate intonation. This saxophone has been well cared for, recently regulated and repaded with white pads. This horn has its plating in tact, the gold lacquer is showing wear on the bell rim. Keys are in good shape, ready to play!
If you are not as familiar with the Buescher company, it is important to note, that Buescher Musical Instrument Company was at one point one of the largest, most competitive musical instrument manufactures in the United States. The founder Gus Buescher was at one point the shop foreman for the C.G. Conn factory in Elkhart, before starting his own company in the early 1900’s. Of all of the instruments produced by Buescher, the saxophones are certainly held in the highest regard. Commanding the attention by the most serious musicians and saxophone enthusiasts over the years, many regard the Buescher Top Hat and Cane (what you are bidding on here) as the finest American Made saxophone of all time! We would absolutely agree with that statement.
